Appending Ad Group Tags – Further AdWords Core Methodology

In previous posts I explained my AdWords core-keyword methodology.

Today I am going to give away another morsel, against my better judgement ;)

 

For this example, we are going to make 3 assumptions;

 

  1. You are tasked to set up an AdWords Account for a large online retailer
  2. You are building based on website layout
  3. Multiple departments exist, with multiple product types in each.

 

Here’s the tip:

 

Append product type to ad group name, for example;

 

 

“radio_sony radio”,

“radio_buy sony radio”

 

It may not make sense at first, but it will later.
